Marists of Champagnat is a new formation program being extended to both Lay Marists and professed Marist Brothers throughout the United States. This program was developed in response to the “calls” heard from our Marist USA province, the Arco Norte region of the Marist Brothers Institute, and our Marist Brothers XXII General Chapter. It is clear that, at this time, a new expression of our Marist charism is being called for. We write to ask you to consider participating in this endeavor.
So far, in the cohorts of 2021 and 2022, 125 lay Marists have gone through the formation and discernment process, with 110 deciding to commit to this way of living out one’s spiritual life in a Marist way. Also, 35 brothers have joined in as participants or companions. (All Brothers, by virtue of their vows, are considered Marists of Champagnat).
With great joy and hope, we invite you to consider joining the 3rd Cohort for our Marist USA province. This program of formation will begin on January 2nd, 2023, and conclude on June 4th, 2023. We make this journey as disciples of Jesus, Mary, and St. Marcellin. We ask the Spirit to pour blessings upon us and to direct the movements within and among us.
