Last Thursday, SJA's Marist Youth Leadership students hosted the second annual Soph S'mores evening at the Marist Hospitality House of Brownsville, TX. The event was attended by over 40 sophomores, 20 leaders and a handful of faculty.
Joseph LoGiudice (Marist of Champagnat, Cohort 2) kept the fire roaring to melt the marshmallows as Marist Youth Leaders got to know the sophomores better. Regina Tovar '24 and Olivia Wood '26 both spoke on the deeply positive impact of attending different national Marist Youth events.
Before the evening closed, all students gathered to pray around the fire. Despite plenty of smoke with the windy weather, the students recounted the story of Marcellin and Stanislaus in the snow and recited the memorare together, lantern in hand.
