Br. Anthony Iazzetti entered the Marist Brothers Novitiate in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, in 1961 and served as a Marist Brother for 52 years. He taught, served as assistant principal or principal at eight primary and secondary schools around the country before retiring to Champagnat Hall in the Bronx, New York. Br. Anthony passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2014.
Brother Iazzetti had a long and diverse career as an educator. After graduating with his B.A. in Chemistry from Marist College, he went on to serve as a teacher and, later, a school administrator, at Marist schools around the country. He also continued his own education, earning his Master of Science in Natural Science from Seattle University, a Certificate of Advanced Study from the University of Oregon, and a Master of Science in Administration from the University of Notre Dame. In 1992, he earned a doctorate in Education from the University of San Francisco. Br. Anthony was a former member of the Marist College Board of Trustees, and served on the Academic Affairs, Student Life and Technology committees at Marist College.
