Dear Brothers and Marist Family –
A funny thing happened on the way from Geneva, Switzerland… Br. Emili called me on FACETIME and confirmed our Province election process and the appointment for me to be the next Provincial of the USA Province. Br. Emili went on to say this would give me something to think about as I crossed the Atlantic.
Think, I did. And, prayed! And, I am grateful that the Lord and our good Mother has called me to another beginning for next year, and I am very touched by your trust and confidence that I could be your Province leader for the next three years.
Since arriving back in the States and being with my family in Pennsylvania, I have received many emails and calls of congratulations from you. Thanks for your very kind support and prayers. I look forward to responding to all of you in the days ahead.
As you know our Provincial Chapter will be in June, 2015, and at that time, we will begin this new mandate. I join all the members of the Province in our thanks to Ben and Roy, the Provincial Council, and our present Province leaders for their care and leadership in the months ahead until the Chapter in June, 2015.
As for me, my work with FMSI-Geneva will continue. I return to my present community in France in January and my expectation is to remain their with the work of FMSI until Eastertime. Please keep me in your prayers and our FMSI advocacy for the rights of our young people and poor children throughout the world.
May we all be together in our prayers and celebration of Christmas wherever we are.
