Formerly known as DEI, Sharing Our Mission: Creating a Community of Belonging was held at the MBCE this past week. Twenty-eight faculty and staff members from eight of our schools were present. Presenters included Lorena and Roberto German of Multicultural Classroom, who did an excellent job of leading the group in explorations of their own stories, as well as exercises in bringing the work back to their communities. Alice Miesnik. Andres Novela, LaToya Hayes, and Ali Belkus also shared in other presentations. Time for prayer, reflection, rest, and renewal were included in the group's days together. A very positive energy pervaded the time in Esopus, hopefully sending everyone home with ideas and strength for the work ahead!
