A group of Marist Young Professionals headed to Lawrence, MA, over Veterans Day weekend for an experience of service, community, and shared prayer. Trip participants included Justin Valdes (FL), Nayelis Herrera (FL), Keanu Orfano (FL/ NY), Sophia Douglas (TX), Jens Salva (NY), Br. Luis Ramos (NY), and Ellen Salmi van Cleef (KY). Over the course of the weekend they engaged in hunger/homelessness related service activities at Cor Unum, Bread and Roses, and Lazarus House, both at the soup kitchen and the family shelter. Each night they joined in prayer and reflection to share about the day and God's movement in their lives. On Saturday, they visited the Brothers' house, and in the evening they met up with local Marist Young Professional Michael Jaskelevicus for an evening of fellowship and fun. Sunday night the group went live on Instagram to share what life is like as a Marist Young Professional and to invite all Marists in their 20s and 30s to join this joyful community!
