Sophomores stepped away from the classroom for a day of reflection, connection, and growth at the Sophomore Clarity Retreat. Through guided conversations, prayer, and moments of quiet reflection, students focused on understanding themselves, strengthening their faith, and building deeper bonds with one another. These retreats are an important part of the Explorer journey — creating space to slow down, gain perspective, and grow into the men they are called to be.

GO GREEN, GO THRIFTING!

Earlier this month, students involved in Planet Green, Central Catholic’s Environmental Club, volunteered at Ruth’s House Thrift Store, where they learned about reducing textile waste—and even had the opportunity to go thrifting themselves. Ruth’s House, Inc. provides clothing to individuals and families in need throughout Haverhill and the Greater Merrimack Valley with care and compassion.

The following week, Planet Green partnered with the Crafternoon Crew, another CCHS student club, for a mending workshop led by Mrs. Jennifer Chatigny, Fine & Performing Arts faculty member and club advisor. Students were invited to bring an item in need of repair, gaining hands-on experience in extending the life of their clothing while supporting more sustainable practices.
