On Monday, November 10th, 36 students from all four grade levels at Archbishop Molloy High School participated in a Sleep Out. Sleep Out is an event in which students give up the comfort of their beds for a night in solidarity with those who are experiencing homelessness. Molloy paired up with Covenant House, a nonprofit organization that works specifically with homeless youth to give them immediate shelter and care as well as long term support. The students participated in reflective activities, prayer, and listened to a presentation by a representative from Covenant House before they slept on the gym floor for the night. With the temperature outside dropping to only 34 degrees, they experienced the discomfort that many who are homeless experience every night. It was an eye-opening experience that left the students with a sense of empathy and a fire to act with compassion and service to others!
Last Sunday afternoon, more than 30 USA Marists of Champagnat—Brothers and Lay—from the NY/NJ region gathered at Archbishop Molloy for Mass and a meaningful time of retreat and reflection.

This October, members of Molloy’s Knitting & Crafts Club partnered with the breast cancer foundation SHAREing & CAREing to create handmade flowers in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Club President Carrie Li ’26 and Vice President Kaylani Ramirez ’26 crafted beautiful faux flowers using pipe cleaners and ribbon, all of which will be gifted to breast cancer survivors, including those currently undergoing treatment.
