The Marist Brothers Center has had a bustling start to the autumnal season, welcoming several schools and groups to property for retreats since the beginning of September. We were extremely excited to celebrate our 2024 Hall of Fame induction, honoring Br. John Dunning, Br. John Malich, Br. Damian Novello, Maureen Hagan, Kate O'Loughlin, Sister Pat Daly & Sister Pat's Camp, and Jim Sheldon were honored at the event on October 19th. With just shy of 300 guests, the group gathered for prayer in the outdoor chapel on the MBCE grounds, enjoyed a cocktail hour and dinner, and awards were presented in the MBCE gymnasium. Everyone left with a smile on their face and their hearts full knowing how integral our honorees are to the mission of the Marist Brothers Center at Esopus. Some even likened the event to a class reunion - everyone got to reconnect and revel in a place they hold dear. The MBCE is now resuming normal activity with groups like Fordham Prep, Roselle Catholic, and Archbishop Molloy coming through their doors in recent weeks.
