16 Marist Chicago students and their families hosted our friends from Istituto San Leone Magno, a Marist school in Rome, Italy for 9 days at the end of September. These students spent time here at school shadowing their host student in classes, learning about life in America and exploring the city of Chicago. While students were staying with host families, the Leavitt street community hosted administrators/teachers Ana Pavala and Carlotta Sansone.
Mrs. Dunneback, Mrs. Lewis, Mr. Ryan & Mrs. Hayes traveled to the Marist Brothers Center in Esopus, NY to participate in Sharing Our Mission: Creating a Community of Belonging earlier this month.
Freshman Retreats for the class of 2028 were a great opportunity for freshman students to learn more about what it means to be in the Marist family. They heard from upperclassmen, bonded with their classmates, and participated in team building activities.
Senior Service Blessing: Marist students prayed for and with those participating in the Senior Service program at a prayer service to commission and bless these students. "Lord, we pray that you open up our students' hearts as they go serve in our community. May they have a fulfilling year giving back to others."
