This year, we are celebrating Br. Marcos Longoria's 60th Jubilee as a Marist Brother. He entered the Marist Brothers' Novitiate in Esopus, NY in 1962. After taking his first vows in 1963 he attended Marist College and graduated with a BA in Spanish in 1966. He enjoyed a wonderful teaching career at Saint Joseph Academy in Brownsville, TX (1966-1969, 1971-1978, 1988-2001), Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, NY (1969-1971), Saint Brendan’s High School in Miami, FL (2001-2012), and Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, FL (1978-1988, 2012-present). He also coordinated the bookstore at Christopher Columbus and currently serves as the school’s archivist. He earned an MA in Spanish from Saint John’s University in 1971 and professed perpetual vows in 1964 in Brownsville, TX.
