Br. Julio Vitores celebrates his 70th Jubilee as a Marist Brother this year. He attended the Marist Juniorate in Carrion de Los Cordes in Spain. He entered the Marist Brothers Novitiate in 1951 in Bairo, Italy. He began his teaching career in Cuba and after being exiled from Cuba, served as a teacher in Guatemala. He also taught at Marist High School (Bayonne, NJ), Roselle Catholic High School (Roselle, NJ), Christopher Columbus High School (Miami, FL), St. Joseph Academy Brownsville, TX) as well as at the Marist International School in Kobe, Japan. He has earned two master’s degrees in philosophy and education as well as graduate courses in religious studies in Paris.
