Br. John Healy was a candidate with the Marist Brothers from 1969-1974, during which time he worked at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ. He entered the Marist Novitiate at Cold Spring-on-Hudson in 1974, professed his first vows in 1975, and perpetual vows in 1980. Br. John has a BA in English from Marist College, an MA in Education from Seton Hall University, and an MA in Pastoral Education from the University of Dayton. During his career as a Marist Brother he has served as a teacher, assistant principal, guidance counselor, and campus minister at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ (1975-77, and 1978-80), Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, FL (1977-78, 1980-82, 2007-Present), St. Joseph Academy in Brownsville, TX (1991-92), St. Mary’s High School in Manhasset, NY (1992-2002), Marist High School in Bayonne, NJ, (1982-87), St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, NJ (1987-88), Roselle Catholic High School in Roselle, NJ (1988-91 and 2002-04), and at St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, NJ (2004-2007). Br. John currently ministers at Christopher Columbus High School.
