Br. Fred Sambor entered the Marist Brothers at St. Joseph Novitiate in Tyngsboro, MA, in 1963. He became a Novice in 1964, professed his first vows in 1965, and perpetual vows in 1971. After completing a BA in Spanish at Marist College in 1968, he began his career as a Marist Educator, serving as a teacher at Mount St. Michael Academy in the Bronx, NY (1968-72, 1973-79, 1992-98 and 1999-2008), Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, NY (1972), Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, MA (1979-92), and Mother Cabrini High School in New York, NY (2008-12). He also taught on the college level as an adjunct professor at the College of New Rochelle, St. Thomas Aquinas College, and the College of Westchester. He obtained graduate degrees from St. John’s University (MA - Spanish, 1979) and Rivier College in Nashua, NH (MA - Computer Education, 1991). He has worked in the Advancement Office of Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY, since 2012.
