Br. Armand Lamagna was a candidate with the Marist Brothers from 1967-1974, during which time he worked at Marist High School in Bayonne, NJ. He entered the Marist Novitiate at Cold Spring-on-Hudson, NY in 1974, professed his First Vows in 1975, and his Perpetual Vows in 1981. Br. Armand has a BA in History from Marist College, an MA in History from Seton Hall University, and a Certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education from Bellevue Hospital in NYC. During his career he has served as a Marist Educator at St. Mary’s High School in Manhasset, NY (1975-77 and 2013-19), Sacred Heart Middle School in the Bronx, NY (1977-78 and as principal 1991-94), Our Lady of the Snows School in Saugerties, NY (1977-78), John A. Coleman High School in Hurley, NY (1979-84), Our Lady of Good Council High School in Newark, NJ (1984-91), Annunziata Alternative School in Houma, LA (1995-97), Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, NY (1997-98), Mount St. Michael Academy in the Bronx, NY (1998-2002), St. Agnes Boys High School in New York City (2002-05), and at Alpha Boys School in Kingston, Jamaica (2012-13). He also worked at the Marist Brothers Center in Esopus (1994-95) and served as Director of our Retired Brothers at Champagnat Hall (2007-11). Br. Armand currently resides at the Marist Community at Eden Terrace in Poughkeepsie, NY, which serves as a residence for our Marist Brothers from abroad who are studying at Marist College.
