Water was leaking through the old roof and crumbling mortar. Our emergency budget wasn’t enough. Please help us this Christmas season with a gift.
Special holiday greetings, dear Friends,
Late summer, as a particularly severe rainstorm pummeled our large, 4-story Marist Brothers retirement facility, the roof gave out and water leaked into the top-floor bedrooms. When we called in a roofer to patch up the problem, the news hit us like a thunder bolt.
Our 25-year-old roof was beyond a quick fix. It needed to be ripped off and replaced. What’s more, the brick building required significant tuckpointing. Unbeknownst to us, water was seeping through cracks in the mortar and causing damage.
P.S. The total $82,300 invoice is due soon, and we’re still $32,300 short. Please send your gift today. Thank you!

The enormous roofing and tuckpointing project required massive 4-story scaffolding, completely new roof that’s nearly the size of a football field, and a lot of precise, close-up detail work.
